Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who has repeatedly demanded that Union Home Minister Amit Shah appear in Parliament and respond to questions surrounding the alleged police crackdown during the CJP student protests, was seen at the same event. The two political leaders did not cross paths inside Parliament or at a protest site. Instead, they were photographed just a few feet apart at the wedding reception of Revati Sule, daughter of NCP (SP) leader and Lok Sabha MP Supriya Sule.
Congress Senior Leader and Member of Parliament Sonia Gandhi can be seen greeting people on stage before walking towards the other end. Supriya Sule then brings her back towards the couple and positions her between the newlyweds. She subsequently brings Rahul Gandhi alongside them before moving towards the end of the line herself.
