Cng nears rs 87 kg in delhi: congress blames ‘inflation man’ Modi for nearly 100% rise in 6 years
CNG prices in Delhi have
gone up by Rs 3.89 per kg, with the new rate of Rs 86.98 per kg coming into
effect from August 29. The hike has drawn a sharp political reaction from the
Congress, which accused the Modi government of adding to the burden on
consumers.
Taking aim at Prime
Minister Narendra Modi, the Congress in a post on X said, "'Inflation Man'
Modi's stick has struck again - CNG has become Rs 3.89 more expensive. Over the
past 6 years, CNG prices have risen by nearly 99%, meaning they've
doubled."
The post highlighted that
the CNG price in August 2020 was at Rs 43.80, whereas in August 2026 it has
reached Rs 86.98, almost doubling in six years. "'Inflation Man' Modi has
made CNG nearly Rs 43 more expensive in 6 years," the post said.
