Mallikarjun Kharge, President of the All India Congress Committee
Mallikarjun Kharge, President of the All India Congress Committee, expressed confidence that Congress-led alliances will secure major victories in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. He stated that the DMK is likely to form the government in Tamil Nadu, while the Congress-led UDF is expected to gain power in Kerala.
In Assam, Kharge believes the party will outperform exit poll predictions. He noted a strong contest in Puducherry and highlighted Congress’s independent fight in West Bengal for party growth. Vote counting for all five states will take place on May 4. While exit polls show mixed trends, Kharge urged patience, stating that a clear political picture will emerge soon.
